Shanghai Summer School - Chinese Traditional Costume Program (hereinafter referred to as '3S program'), sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and undertaken by Donghua University, was successfully held from July 10 to August 4. In 2023, with the theme of "Digital Virtual Fashion and Traditional Chinese Costume", the 3S program with the purpose of "Promoting Shanghai and Communicating Chinese Culture" combines the advantages and resources of our university in the field of fashion design, and inspires students to understand and display traditional Chinese costume from the perspective of digital virtual ideas. Under the creative guidance of teachers from Shanghai International College of Fashion & Innovation and the training of experts from Browzwear company in the use of software, creative digital costumes with the style of Qipao was created and presented. Jointly organized by International Cultural Exchange School, Shanghai International College of Fashion & Innovation and Browzwear company, the 3S program is a combination of online and offline program. 18 international students are from 14 countries, such as Spain, Tanzania, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Russia, Vietnam, Ukraine, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Armenia. Chinese students with major background in fashion design or fashion engineering are also invited from our university. Through the general innovation and practical teaching method in the field of international fashion education, we encourage students to work in groups to complete the creative works and make summary presenatation with creative works display at the end of the program.
